틈 teum is a meditation on the quiet, untold stories of our heritage. Rather than re-enacting the past, the film creates a new poetry that gently overlays it and pays tribute to all that seeks to live on in memory. Through movement and sound, a door to the near future opens, awakening the invisible presences that inhabit this space.

// Marc Philipp Gabriel and Tis Aly are Berlin-based performance artists. Tis’ artistic work creates a space of collision and encounter, bringing the individual and the collective together within his performance-based practice. His perspective as a queer BIPOC person also informs his artistic work and his commitment to social justice.

Working from the perspective of dance and movement, Marc moves between body, voice, installation, video and architecture. His work offers unconventional perspectives on social norms and contributes to the discourse surrounding future models of living together on and with planet Earth. Their dance films have been screened at film festivals around the world.

틈 teum ist eine Meditation über die leisen, unerzählten Geschichten unseres Erbes. Es erschafft eine neue Poesie, die sich behutsam über das Vergangene legt und all das feiert, was im Gedächtnis weiterleben möchte. In Tanz und Klang öffnen wir das Tor zu einer nahen Zukunft und erwecken die unsichtbaren Präsenzen zum Leben, die diesen Raum bewohnen.

// Marc Philipp Gabriel und Tis Aly sind in Berlin lebende Performancekünstler. Tis’ künstlerische Arbeit schafft einen Ort der Kollision und Begegnung, an dem in seiner performancebasierten Praxis das Individuelle und das Kollektive zusammentreffen. Seine Perspektive als queere BIPOC-Person spiegelt sich ebenfalls in seiner künstlerischen Arbeit und seinem Engagement für soziale Gerechtigkeit wider.

Ausgehend von Tanz und Bewegung arbeitet Marc an der Schnittstelle von Körper, Stimme, Installation, Video und Architektur. Seine Arbeiten eröffnen unkonventionelle Perspektiven auf gesellschaftliche Normen und tragen zum Diskurs über zukünftige Modelle unseres Zusammenlebens auf und mit dem Planeten Erde bei. Ihre Tanzfilme wurden auf Filmfestivals weltweit gezeigt.
