Noche bietet einen partizipativen Raum – einen Rahmen für die dialektische Begegnung unterschiedlicher Sprachen –, aus dem eine eigene Sprache hervorgeht. Noche begibt sich auf die Suche nach einer Rückgewinnung des Poetischen in der Kunst und versteht den Körper dabei als Wahrnehmungsinstrument und als Ort der Entstehung von Bedeutung.
Noche offers a participatory space—a container for the dialectical encounter of languages—from which a language of its own emerges. Noche undertakes a search to reclaim the poetic in art, positioning the body as an element of perception and site for the generation of meaning.
Roberto Duarte ist bildender Künstler und Absolvent der Universidad de Chile. Seit den 1990er-Jahren arbeitet er in den Bereichen Fotografie, Video, Malerei, Poesie, Klang, Performance und ortsspezifische Projekte. Er war Gründungsmitglied der experimentellen Musikgruppen El Grito (Chile) und Enola Gay (Mexiko). Seine Arbeiten wurden international in Chile, Argentinien, Mexiko, den USA, Spanien, Italien und Deutschland präsentiert, unter anderem in der Cineteca Nacional in Mexiko-Stadt, der White Box Gallery in New York, bei der Berliner Liste Art Fair und beim Directors Lounge Contemporary Media and Art Festival. Er ist außerdem Autor des Dokumentarfilms „Berliner Improvisation“ und des im Selbstverlag erschienenen Buches „Here“, das Gedichte und Malereien verbindet.
Roberto Duarte is a visual artist and graduate of the Universidad de Chile. Since the 1990s, he has worked across photography, video, painting, poetry, sound, performance and site-specific projects. He was a founding member of the experimental music groups El Grito (Chile) and Enola Gay (Mexico). His work has been presented internationally in Chile, Argentina, Mexico, the USA, Spain, Italy and Germany, including at Cineteca Nacional in Mexico City, White Box Gallery in New York, the Berliner Liste Art Fair and Directors Lounge Contemporary Media and Art Festival. He is also the author of the documentary film “Berliner Improvisation” and the self-published book “Here”, combining poems and paintings.
