The film brings together dialogues between Chang Yan and Chen Jun about their childhood trauma and the hatred they feel towards their fathers.
It juxtaposes bodily movements and memories within the intimacy of an unknown space. One chooses to forgive; the other does not.
// Elysa Wendi is an artist, filmmaker, curator and dancer based in Hong Kong and Singapore. Shaped by a nomadic childhood across Southeast Asia, her work explores memory, displacement, biography and the body. Working across hybrid documentary, audio-visual essays and choreographic forms, she investigates the fluid boundaries between place, language and personal history. Her films have been screened internationally, including at Berlinale Forum Expanded, Ji.hlava IDFF, Image Forum Tokyo, EXiS Seoul and Le FIFA Montreal.

Der Film führt Dialoge zwischen Chang Yan und Chen Jun über ihre traumatischen Kindheitserfahrungen und den Hass zusammen, den sie gegenüber ihren Vätern empfinden.
Er stellt Körperbewegungen und Erinnerungen in der Intimität eines unbekannten Raumes einander gegenüber. Eine Person entscheidet sich dafür zu vergeben, die andere nicht.
// Elysa Wendi ist eine Künstlerin, Filmemacherin, Kuratorin und Tänzerin mit Lebensmittelpunkten in Hongkong und Singapur. Geprägt von einer nomadischen Kindheit in verschiedenen Teilen Südostasiens, beschäftigt sich ihre Arbeit mit Erinnerung, Vertreibung, Biografie und dem Körper. In hybriden Dokumentarfilmen, audiovisuellen Essays und choreografischen Formen untersucht sie die fließenden Grenzen zwischen Ort, Sprache und persönlicher Geschichte. Ihre Filme wurden international präsentiert, unter anderem beim Berlinale Forum Expanded, Ji.hlava IDFF, Image Forum Tokyo, EXiS Seoul und Le FIFA Montreal.
