WHAT HOLDS US
A group of people float in a body of water, clustering and dispersing into shifting constellations. Cut off from context, this fluid landscape has its own temporality. Seen from above, the scene is tender without becoming sentimental: bodies drifting toward and away from each other like landmasses in motion. In this soft, utopian flow, What Holds Us is a reflection on connection, longing and the delicate ways in which we find one another.
This film was made in the context of Mystery School / PACAP 8, Forum Dança, Lisbon, 2025.

Eine Gruppe von Menschen treibt in einem Gewässer, findet zusammen und löst sich wieder in wechselnde Konstellationen auf. Losgelöst von jedem Kontext entwickelt diese fließende Landschaft ihre eigene Zeitlichkeit. Von oben betrachtet wirkt die Szene zärtlich, ohne sentimental zu werden: Körper treiben aufeinander zu und voneinander fort wie Landmassen in Bewegung. In diesem sanften, utopischen Fluss reflektiert What Holds Us über Verbundenheit, Sehnsucht und die behutsamen Wege, auf denen wir zueinanderfinden.
Dieser Film entstand 2025 im Rahmen von Mystery School / PACAP 8 bei Forum Dança in Lissabon.
