Shot across four locations in Cape Town—a studio, a rooftop, the shoreline and city streets—the film follows two men as they navigate the complexities of modern masculinity. Raw energy meets quiet introspection, revealing resilience, brotherhood and the transformative power of movement.
What begins as two solo journeys ultimately reveals itself as one.

ǂNŪ bedeutet Wasser in der Sprache der San, der ersten Bewohner*innen dieses Landes, für die das Kap lange, bevor es einen anderen Namen erhielt, bereits Heimat war.
Gedreht an vier Schauplätzen in Kapstadt—in einem Studio, auf einem Dach, an der Küste und in den Straßen der Stadt—begleitet der Film zwei Männer bei ihrer Auseinandersetzung mit den komplexen Anforderungen moderner Männlichkeit. Unmittelbare Energie trifft auf stille Selbstbetrachtung und lässt Widerstandskraft, Verbundenheit und die transformative Kraft der Bewegung hervortreten.
Was als zwei individuelle Reisen beginnt, erweist sich am Ende als eine gemeinsame.
