Sasha Monty is a trans-disciplinary visual artist whose practice is committed to the exploration of the body and selfhood as architectures of hope; spaces of discovery, liberation, and healing, which need to be safeguarded.
At the formal level, the artist connects the still and the moving image in order to explore performance as a psycho-social modality.
Sasha Monty holds an MA in Artists’ Film & Moving Image (Goldsmiths, University of London) and trained professionally in ballet and contemporary dance at the Rambert School, under the Thérèse Cantine scholarship. Their work has been exhibited internationally.
