The movie BEyond contains a lot of twisted steps from different dancestyles put together in the ironic way that only The Line can do. We use references from a wide range (contemporary, folk, mtv and so on..) and set them in a new context inspired from tired clichés.
The Line consists of Ole Martin Meland, Ida Wigdel and Kristina Søetorp, all educated at The College of arts in Oslo. The company made their first performance Three Pieces in 2006, and have since performed at various important events. In February 2010 they released the well-received dancefilm BEyond during the New Norwegian dance festival at Dansens Hus in Oslo. This summer they had their international debut with their show BEyond the face at I like to watch too, Julidans in Amsterdam which became a big success.
