Elaine Summers (1925-2014) war Choreographin und Pionierin im Bereich Intermedia Art. Ihr Film ‚Overture‘ eröffnete 1962 das erste ‚Concert of Dance‘ des Judson Dance Theaters. Seit 1993 studierte und arbeitete Thomas Körtvélyessy bei Elaine Summers. Seit 2015 verwaltet er den künstlerischen Nachlass von Summers mit Unterstützung durch das von Summers gegründete Kinectic Awareness® Center und die New York Public Library. Daneben ist Körtvélyessy künstlerischer Leiter der von ihm gegründeten Real Dance Company und zertifizierter Dozent der Kinetic Awareness® Technik.
Elaine Summers (1925-2014) was a choreographer and pioneer in the field of intermedia art. In 1962 her film ‚Overture‘ opened the first ‚Concert of Dance‘ of the Judson Dance Theater. Thomas Körtvélyessy studied and worked with Elaine Summers since 1993 and became an Executor of the Artistic Estate of Elaine Summers in 2015, facilitated by the Kinetic Awareness® Center with thanks to the New York Public Library. He is also the artistic director of his own Reàl Dance Company and a certified Master Teacher of Kinetic Awareness®.

Douglas Dunn tanzt und kreiert Tänze seit mehr als 50 Jahren. Neben seinem Engagement bei Merce Cunningham (1969-1973) arbeitete er gemeinsam mit Yvonne Rainer und war Mitglied des mit Improvisation arbeitenden Performancekollektivs Grand Union (1970-76). 1971 entwickelte Dunn erste eigene Tanzsoli und Duette, 1978 gründete er die Company Douglas Dunn + Dancers. Dunn arbeitet mit Künstler*innen aus Lyrik, Bildender Kunst und Bildhauerei, Musik, Komposition und Theater zusammen, um in seinen Stücken facettenreiche Erfahrungswelten hervorzubringen. Er kollaborierte mit Filmemachern wie Charles Atlas, Amy Greenfield und Rudolph Burckhardt. In seinem Studio in Soho organisiert Dunn Salon Events und präsentiert Tanz, Musik, Film, Lyrik und Malerei. Im Mai 2018 öffnete er die Türen seines Studios für POOL SHINE. Daneben verfasst Dunn Gedichte und veröffentlichte die Textsammlung ‚Dancer Out of Sight‘ (Amzaon.com)

Douglas Dunn has been dancing and making dances for fifty years. While dancing with Merce Cunningham (1969 -1973) he also worked with Yvonne Rainer which led to the founding of Grand Union, the no-rehearsal collective (1970 -1976). Dunn showed solo and duet work beginning in 1971 and formed Douglas Dunn + Dancers in 1978. He likes to collaborate with poets, painters, sculptors, musicians, composers, and playwrights to offer a multifaceted theatrical experience. He worked together with several filmmakers as Charles Atlas, Amy Greenfield, and Rudy Burckhardt. Dunn produces Salons at his studio in Soho where he shows dance, music, film, poetry, and painting. In May 2018 he generously opened the doors of his studio for POOL SHINE. Dunn also contends with words. Dancer Out of Sight, his collected writing, is available at Amzaon.com. Yoshiko Chuma ist Choreographin und künstlerische Leiterin der Company The School of Hard Knocks. Geboren in Osaka,
Japan, lebt und arbeitet sie seit 1976 in New York. Yoshiko Chuma hat mehr als 60 Bühnenstücke und site-specific Performances produziert. Zwischen 1979 und 1982 drehte Yoshiko Chuma sieben 16 mm Filme, die bei POOL Shine erstmalig in Europa präsentiert wurden.
Yoshiko Chuma is a choreographer and artistic director of The School of Hard Knocks Company. Born in Osaka in Japan, she lives and works in New York since 1976. Yoshiko Chuma has created more than 60 full-length company works, commissions and site-specific events, constantly challenging the notion of performance for both audience and participant. Between 1979 and 1982 she produced seven films on 16 mm, that were shown for the very first time in Europe at POOL Shine.
