FAULTLINE – TORI LAWRENCE
A new digital dance film by Tori Lawrence + Co. Set in the expansive and iconic Mojave Desert, the film brings awareness to the interplay between the natural environment, designed body, and the human need to adapt to a changing environment. Choreographed, filmed and edited by Tori Lawrence, with a costume created by visual artists Mark King & Bregje Cox, worn by dancer Anthony Pucci, the film navigates interstitial spaces between the sculptural cacti and geologic features in the Joshua Tree desert. The project was filmed over two winters in Joshua Tree, edited with support from a residency at USF Verftet in Bergen, Norway and additional support from the New England Foundation for the Arts.
